I can't find any on the internet and obviously she can't be let go up here because she lives in Florida and she'll die in the cold weather... She is getting to big for us to keep her and i love this turtle with all my heart and want to see her takin care of properly We do take damn good are of her! She is just getting to big to keep in a tank and we feel horrible.

- why arent you aking care of her properly? she would like it if you took her to a lake and let her go. the florida part has nothing to do if she will be able to live in illinois. as long as you let her go in may and ahe has time to adapt she would be fine come winter because she would hybernate. as far as a place to drop her off you could check the zoos there. this is not that exotic of a pet so there wont be a large demand at animal zoos and places.
- Ignore samstaff. The last thing Illinois needs is exotic reptiles being introduced. Contact the Chicago Herpetological Society. One of its members would probably love to take your turtle and give it a good home. You might even like to join the group or at least attend a meeting or two.
